From 12.01am on Saturday 24th April to 11.59pm on Sunday 25th April, you’ll get free data to use on your mobile phone plan, mobile broadband plan or prepaid service. We apologise for the impact of this outage and promise to learn from this to build even more resilience into our network.

No, the free data can only be accessed within Australia.

My prepaid recharge has expired, will I be able to access the free data?

Yes, as you won’t be charged for the free data weekend, you’ll be able to access the free data from an expired prepaid service, as long as you recharged within the last 365 days?

What was the cause of the disruption?

The 4G disruption was caused by an issue in the core network. It meant customers fell back to 3G services.

We are constantly working to give our customers a good experience; continually upgrading and investing in our network to provide better services.
